Robbie Confirms Take That Reunion
Whilst talking to Jonathan Ross…

15:54, Wednesday, 4 November 2009

Robbie Williams has said he has started working with his old band Take That again.

Speaking to Jonathan Ross for his chatshow the Bodies singer was asked if he’ll record with Mark, Gary, Howard and Jason again. He said: "Yes I hope so."

He continued: “We've got together, done bits and bobs. I can't say much.”

Robbie joined TT in the studio recently in New York- although at the time they claimed he just popped by to hang out.

The star also talked to Wossy about his girlfriend Ayda and hinted he might have kids. He said: “She's a wonderful person and I'm in love. She's really broody and I'm getting there.”

ROB JOINS TAKE THAT NEXT WEEK

7th November 2009

By Kim Dawson, Playlist editor

ROBBIE Williams will rejoin Take That on stage next week.

The superstar singer teams up with his former bandmates at a Children In Need gig, 14 years after he quit.

Rob’s walkout prompted a bitter feud with lead singer Gary Barlow, but now they can’t wait to perform together again.

And it means the original Take That line-up – Robbie, Gary, Mark Owen, 37, Jason Orange, 39, and Howard Donald, 41 – will belt out their hits on Thursday at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

A source said: “It’s the gig where Robbie finally gets back with Take That. They’re mates again, and doing it for charity seems like the best way.”

And the reunion could be permanent after Rob, 35, unveiled a new Take That tattoo on Jonathan Ross’s chat show last night.

The gig, organised by Gary, 38, will also feature Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal, Leona Lewis, all 24, Paul McCartney, 67, Snow Patrol and Muse.

The source added: “Everyone fears Rob will change his mind. But he feels it’s the right time.”

Robbie Williams rejoins Take That... but just for one night
By Daily Mail Reporter

07th November 2009

Robbie Williams performs on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross - but will join his old bandmates on stage next week

Robbie Williams will rejoin Take That on stage next week - 14 years after he quit the band.
The singer will perform with his former bandmates for Children in Need at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday.
Take That and Robbie are expected to top the bill for the one-off gig, which will also features perfomance by Snow Patrol, Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal, Leona Lewis, Muse and Sir Paul McCartney.
A source said: 'It's the gig where Robbie finally gets back with Take That. They're mates again and doing it for charity seems like the best way.'
But fans will be desperate to blag a ticket for the sold-out show for their first performance together in more than a decade.
The 35-year-old walked out of Take That at the height of their fame in 1995 after a rift with lead singer Gary Barlow. The group went on to release another single without him but split the following year.
But their comeback as a foursome in 2006 has given the band even greater success.

There have been rumours that Robbie plans to permanently rejoin the band, since ending the feud with Gary in recent years and calling him 'my new best friend'.
Also adding fuel to the fire were reports that Mark Owen, 37, Gary Barlow, 38, Howard Donald, 41, and Jason Orange, 39, were spotted entering a New York recording studio at the same time as Robbie.

The source told the Daily Star: 'Everyone fears Rob will change his mind. But he feels it's the right time.'
Take That are expected to perform several of their recent hits such as Rule The World and Patience, with Robbie joining them to sing Could It Be Magic, on which he sang lead vocals, and several of their older songs.

Last night Robbie, appearing on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, said that performing live had driven him to rehab in the past.

'I've always been very nervous [performing for] 80,000 people, it's an unnatural thing to do,' he said. 'You don't know what's going on in my head. It's traumatic, really scary.

'I ended up in rehab again. It was, 'What are you doing to yourself?' I thought it was time to break the cycle.
'I've taken the pressure off myself, it's a part-time gig these days. The missus keeps me grounded. There's no need to take myself out of my mind any more.'

He also talked of plans to have children with girlfriend Ayda Fields

Take That studio reunion has already happened, claims Williams

Press Association

Friday, 13 November 2009

Robbie Williams has claimed he has recorded again with Take That - and said the tracks are "amazing".

It comes just hours after the singer shared a stage with his former bandmates for the first time since he left the group in 1995.

After weeks of hinting he may work with the quartet again, Williams has now claimed the studio reunion has already begun.

During an interview to be broadcast later this year by BBC Radio 2, Williams praised Take That songwriter Gary Barlow and confessed he had recorded with the band.

Speaking about a Take That reunion, he said: "We'd have to have written some incredibly great songs together for me to be very, very excited about the project."

Williams then added: "I might be 'very, very excited' about a project that's currently happening."

In the programme, to be broadcast on Christmas Day, Williams initially claimed that any studio work would be some time in the future, before making his admission.

He said: "Gaz is an amazing, amazing singer-songwriter, I'm honoured to be in the same studio as him ... erm ...when we do, in the future."

Challenged that he was lying and had already been in the studio, he admitted: "Oh sod it, we've been in and the songs are absolutely amazing."

However fans should not necessarily hold their breath. It is unclear whether he is planning any sort of long-term partnership or whether the recordings will be officially released.

Williams has a deal with EMI, while Take That have a deal with rival record label Polydor, part of the giant Universal group.

Williams had an acrimonious split from Take That in 1995, after famously spending a lost weekend with Oasis at Glastonbury that summer.

When his career soared he would often spend a portion of his live show berating his treatment in the band and ridiculing the band's manager. Williams would also perform a thrash version of chart-topping hit Back For Good.

In the interview, recorded on Wednesday, he told presenter Kate Thornton: "I want to do it because I've always wanted to be in a gang ever since I left that gang. And all the bitterness and resentment's gone now and what is left is a load of love, and watching four guys get together and enjoy each other's company and enjoy the process of writing together. For me, I'm envious of the joy that they're having."

He added: "To make a couple of things clear ... financially I don't need to do this. And neither do they."

Williams and the band - Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald - have met repeatedly over the past year or so and patched up their differences.

Williams, who is on course for a number one this weekend with his eighth studio album Reality Killed the Video Star, said: "It's been amazing getting to know the boys again, they're just lovely, lovely people.

"We're all a bit wiser, you know, I think. Since Gazza's had kids, he's become a different person. I think I must be different, you know."

Williams said he had no difficulty accepting that Barlow called the shots in the band.

"Gazza's the captain ... (I) absolutely have no problem playing second or third fiddle in that band," he said.
